This Peach Crumble recipe uses canned peaches, making it an incredibly easy and quick dessert. It features a sweet, juicy peach filling topped with a buttery, crispy oat crumble. Perfect for a warm, comforting treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Drain the canned peaches, reserving about 2 tablespoons of the syrup. Spread the drained peaches evenly in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the reserved peach syrup over the peaches.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Pour the melted butter over the dry ingredients. Stir with a fork until the mixture is crumbly and moistened.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the peaches in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

  • Using canned peaches makes this recipe incredibly convenient and available year-round.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of vanilla extract to the peach filling before adding the topping.
  • If you prefer a less sweet crumble, you can reduce the amount of brown sugar slightly in the topping.
  • This crumble is best served warm. Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
  • For a nuttier flavor, you can add 1/4 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts to the crumble topping.
